With water as the defining element of the coast residenceparticipating architects antoniolupi from the very beginning in the planning process, counting on the company’s high level of flexible solutions. The result of the collaboration is a 270 square meter home that serves not only as a peaceful oasis but also as a gallery for the owners’ art collection, where antoniolupi’s custom-made furniture plays a key role in blending art, nature and architecture.

The influence of water is evident as soon as you enter Villa Apua. The expansive living area is designed to flow into the garden and pool area, with large, full-height sliding glass doors blurring the lines between indoor and outdoor spaces. antoniolupi’s collections are prominently featured, with each piece selected to enhance the residence’s connection to the surrounding landscape. The FOX chest of drawers from the Atelier_Living collection anchors the living space, while the presence of water outside is echoed in the flowing lines of the LOLLA armchair, contrasting with the sharp geometry of the OLIVER sofa – both designed by Carlo Colombo for antoniolupi. Marble coffee tables from the ORBIT line, designed by AL_Studio, complete the composition.

The kitchen continues this harmonious narrative with the central ‘Wing’ table, handcrafted by Tuscan designer Marco Guazzini using Marwoolus®, creating a material and chromatic connection between the interior and the garden. The villa exhibits works by local artists and designers, reflecting the client’s vision to connect the home with the rich artistic and cultural heritage of the Versilia region. Including Massimo Vitali’s ‘Rosignano Solvay Sea III’ photograph, Massimiliano Pelletti’s ‘Red Side’ sculpture and the white Carrara marble and steel rope sculpture ‘Legami #12’ by Armenian sculptor Mikayel Ohanjanyan, this thoughtful curation of artwork creates a cohesive dialogue between living spaces , bedrooms and the surrounding environment.

Characterized by the use of oak and travertine, this space provides a peaceful retreat overlooking an intimate courtyard. antoniolupi INTROVERSO sculptural washbasins in white Carrara marble by Paolo Uliano and COLLAGE mirrors by Luca Galofara further enrich the master bathroom, integrating artistic elements into a luxurious environment.

On the first floor of Villa Apua are the remaining sleeping quarters of the family, where two suites, bathed in the sun, offer a panoramic view of the garden, the horizon and the sea. These rooms blend with the home’s color and material palette, the first bedroom features an ANIMA LIQUIDA LIVING boiserie/container system that serves as a backdrop for Carlo Colombo’s CHARLIE bed, flanked by ROMA marble tables and complemented by a LOLLA armchair in matching fabric. .
The en-suite bathroom balances Carrara White marble in sculptural elements such as the FILORIGO washbasin by Paolo Uliano and the ORION bathtub by Mario Ferrarini, with the geometric precision of the Alpi Green marble in the boiserie and the CARTESIO shower system. Every detail reflects antoniolupi’s dedication to creating elegant custom solutions that enhance functionality and visual appeal.
