Helen Flanagan reveals truth behind new boyfriend after sparking outrage on Celebs Go Dating and being branded a ‘liar’ – as Scott Sinclair’s ex revealed girlfriend

Helen Flanagan has revealed the truth behind her new boyfriend Robbie Talbot after sparking outrage on Celebs Go Dating.

The former Coronation Street star, 34, faced backlash last week when she admitted she already has a secret boyfriend, Robbie Talbot, outside the show.

Appearing on Lorraine on Monday, Helen revealed she had been dating the 44-year-old for almost nine months.

She signed up for the show at the beginning of the year, when she and the former football player were still at the beginning of their relationship.

However, she admitted that her feelings for the man have become more ‘intense’ with age.

Lorraine said: ‘It happened when I signed the show, it was the beginning of the year, we were dating and then it just progressed. I wear my heart on my sleeve. I just wanted to be clean.

‘I wanted to be true to myself. I’m a huge fan of Celebs Go Dating, I love the show and I wanted to make the most of it.

“I wanted to benefit from it, especially with the therapeutic side of the show, so I wanted to be honest.

‘I signed on for the show at the beginning of the year, me and my boyfriend were just on a date and everything got intense.’

She sent fans into a frenzy last week when she made a shocking confession to her new boyfriend Robbie on Tuesday’s episode.

She started, “So, basically, I told the agency about me and you,” and Robbie replied, “Oh yeah?”

‘So they want to know if you’d go to the agency with me, like my boyfriend,’ the former soap star continued.

‘What do you mean?’, Robbie asked confused, to which Helen replied more pointedly, ‘Like coming to see the agents with me as my boyfriend.’

Robbie asked, ‘And what?’ as Helen replied, ‘I don’t know, I think they just want to meet you.’

Her appearance on Lorraine comes just hours after news that her ex Scott Sinclair is said to have found love again with family friend Lauren Davies two years after splitting from the actress.

The 35-year-old footballer and television star ended their relationship in 2022 after 13 years of living together.

However, it seems the two have moved on as Scott was seen out and about holding hands with Lauren at Prada Cafe in Harrods on Wednesday, in pictures obtained by The Sun.

Lauren, who supports children with ADHD, is said to be from Scott’s home town of Bath and lives close to where he currently plays for Premier League side Bristol Rovers.

A source told the publication: ‘They get on well and really enjoy each other’s company.

‘They met through family years ago. Scott and Lauren talked a few months ago and started dating.

‘At the moment they just want to see where things go.’

After confirming her ex’s new romance, Helen later took to Instagram to share a snap of herself enjoying a day out at Formby Beach in Liverpool with her three children.

Helen shares nine-year-old Matilda, six-year-old Delilah and three-year-old son Charlie with her ex Scott.

She captioned the picture: ‘Helen captioned the post: ‘I love this picture, I don’t know what’s so special about it. I felt proud ✨.’
